The Bible encourages us in Psalms 37:4 “Delight yourself also in the Lord, and He shall give you the desires of your heart.” The word Delight means to take pleasure in, or to relish or contentment. It is so great to know that life’s true contentment and pleasure can be found in our relationship with our heavenly father. I have found that “desires are the offspring of our time with God.” What a great truth. When I draw nigh unto God, He draws nigh unto me (James 4:8). The result, dreams and desires that connect to eternal purposes and express my heart, through the heart of God.
This week, get into a quiet place and see the salvation of the Lord. Allow the Spirit of God to lead you into secret places that reveal the heart of God, and help you to express your delight in serving Him.
